Fun Topic! How do you relax?

In game I like to farm in Twilight Highlands. Mining and fishing guppy go hand in hand there. It gets me away from the grinds of questing and the fun madness of raiding. It's mindless and I can even watch tv whilst doing it. And it's profitable and helps the guild. Win Win Win!

IRL I like movies and tv and other games like mah jongg and sudoku and hidden object games. Even a good round of solitaire puts me in the mood for sleep. Reading is also a great passion of mine. As is European history. Hanging out with family and friends also soothes my soul.

So, what say you Steadfast? What do you do to chill?

Given the 'relax' as opposed to 'chill;' I either quest or watch a recorded tv show.

I like to read, (Charles De Lint, Terry Brooks, Christopher Moore), Bake (No my chocolate cake is not a lie and I can't put it's recipe in the recipe corner Darren, sorry), roughhouse/wrestle with my boys, cast chopsticks with the I Ching and, when I get the very rare chance, I love to meditate or use self hypnosis.

Then, of course, making new toons to run through the beginning stuffz.

Reading whatever floats my boat and is nearest to where I am when I get the urge (usually have a downstairs book and an upstairs book). Generally catching up on TV shows that I missed when they're on Netflix's Watch Instantly. And, on the weekends finding something in Bon Appetit or a random cookbook that I haven't made before.

In-game, doing Archeology is one, as is mining. But, the Darkmoon Faire is one of my tops to hit when it's available. I could listen to the music on repeat for hours (and probably have).

In game... going through my 10 toons and organizing their banks or chipping away at their professions. As much as I hate fishing in-game... it has ended up being the decompression task I have defaulted to as of late. Once I hit 525 with that though, I'll probably switch to Archaeology.

In RL... my 'relax' activities vary depending on situation/location... from reading to meditating to hiking, to playing WoW, to watching a movie, to designing. I tend to shy away from TV... there is just so much crap on it these days... from shows with no substance to news with no news.

LOL... anyone remember... "No GaNews is Good GaNews with Gary Ganu."?

Anyway, I guess you could say, my relaxing activities still need to have some underlying purpose or benifit.

How could we forget Gary Gnu? The Great Space Coaster. It lasted two seasons. I also so one of the three original human stars died. :-(
