re: [RP] Meton

Due to an unfortunately ill-timed technology failure on my part, I lost the entirety of the roleplaying log from Tuesday February 22. Fortunately, however, Dayari was also recording and was able to provide me the log that is included below. What this means, however, is that a portion of the dialogue, which was rendered in Thalassian, is still rendered in Thalassian, as Dayari does not speak that language in an In Character context. I will provide an update with translations as soon as I can get my hands on Meton and Deselynian to hash out our dialogue. My apologies.

re: [RP] Meton

[Steadfast meets in the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar, by one of the shady waterfall-fed pools, to discuss recent events. Brother Roanok lights a fire to chase away the chill of the high desert evening.]

Roanok salutes you with respect.

You greet Roanok with a hearty hello!
You greet Solivar with a hearty hello!

Solivar bows in greeting to all.
Solivar says: Greetings, brothers...

Deselynia says: AHEM!

Roanok says: Good evening, Solivar.

Solivar says: Good evening, sister. My apologies...I did not see you there.

Deselynia says: Its quite alright Solivar

Solivar says: Please...come join us.

Deselynia nods and stands up slowly walking over towards the fire

Roanok bows before Deselynia.

Deselynia bows before Roanok.

Solivar settles himself next to the fire.

Deselynia rubs her hands together and sits down by the fire.

Dayari stares with discontent at the waterfall.

Solivar says: I thank you for coming tonight...

Roanok digs a rock out of his hoof and throws it into the pond.

Deselynia says: Not a problem So whats this about?

Solivar says: I am...concerned.

Deselynia says: About what this time?

Solivar 's hand strays absently to his chest, gaze flicking around the circle.
Solivar says: Has anyone heard from Meton since our journey to Dire Maul?

Deselynia says: I dont recall him at all.

Dayari says: I met him.

Solivar says: Where? I know he has been dwelling in Silvermoon...

Dayari says: Met Meton?

Solivar says: ...Yes.

Dayari says: I think I met him in Brill.

Deselynia says: I dont know who he is so i cant say.

Solivar says: Recently?

Dayari says: Probably.

Solivar scrubs both hands over his face and is clearly resisting the urge to tear out his hair.

Roanok says: This Meton, tell me brother, what is his significance?

Deselynia says: if you were living Dayari would you say it was fairly recent or a long time

Dayari says: I was living a long time ago. I think.

Deselynia says: but you still can remember a living persons perception of time so how long in living perspective ago did you see him

Solivar says: Meton...he is....difficult to describe.

Roanok stares out over the water, his expression peaceful.

Solivar says: Like myself, he is a brother of the Ebon Blade.

Dayari says: Yes.

Solivar says: Unlike myself he is...intemperate, hotheaded, and prone to running off by himself and finding trouble, provided that it does not find him first.

Roanok says: The Ebon Blade. Those were were alive but are now dead...but different from Dayari's kind...

Dayari says: They're the other Not-Scourge.

Roanok shudders at the mention of Scourge.
Roanok says: Scourge. Abominations against the natural order of the elements.
Roanok says: No offense to you, Lord Solivar.

Solivar says: None taken.
Solivar says: Yes. I am concerned because the last time we spoke, he intended to visit a great deal of violence against a threat of unknown severity.
Solivar says: And now he is nowhere to be found.

You shrug at Solivar. Who knows?

Roanok says: Then it seems we should ask the spirits to help us

Deselynia says: Do we want some more reliable help since this is a death knight Matter Solivar?

Roanok says: A spirit of air would likely locate him quickly.

Deselynia says: if you knew how to describe him to the spirit

Roanok says: Ah. Yes. A valid point, Deselynia.
Roanok says: Back to square one as I believe the gnomes say.

Solivar says: A spirit would be ideal...and, yes, I believe I can describe him.

Deselynia says: the thing im thinking is a little risky cause i dont what will happen in truth

Roanok says: If you can provide me a description....I will pray for his location.

Dayari points vaguely to the horizon.

Roanok says: It is a simple task, yet unreliable. The affairs of mortals is not high priority for those who dwell among the clouds.
Roanok says: As always...
Roanok turns to the horizon.
Roanok shrugs at you. Who knows?

Deselynia looks in the general direction Dayari looked

Roanok says: As always, I defer to your wisdom Solivar.

Solivar fetches a small book from his pack and flips it open to particular page.

Dayari says: Your book?

Roanok cranes his neck in curiosity at the book.

The page is a fairly detailed sketch of a young-seeming blood elf, his face criss-crossed with scars, painted lightly in ink.

Roanok says: That is the one called Meton?

Solivar says: Yes. I drew this several months ago...but our kind does not change a great deal.

Roanok says: May I borrow your tome?
Roanok says: I will need to show it to the Spirit.

Solivar says: Of course.
Solivar hands the book over.

Dayari says: I met him. In Brill, I think.

Roanok says: Brothers, and sister. If you will excuse me. The magic must be worked in somewhat privacy
Roanok takes the book.

Solivar says: Of course, brother. And I thank you.

Roanok kneels before Wrath of Air Totem.

[Beneath the trees, the winds rise as the shaman calls upon the elements, the roar nearly drowning out the desperate beating of failing, bony wings as a gryphon of the Ebon Blade descends rapidly into the Valley.]

Meton crashes hard from the descent downward, sliding ungracefully out of the saddle and slamming into the ground.
His mount barely stops from slamming into the wall of the mountain.

Solivar kneels before Meton.

You peer at Meton searchingly.

Solivar says: Shaman!

Dayari says: He's not in Brill now.

Roanok says: What in the name of the Spirits?

Meton is covered in wounds, it looks like he had one hell of a battle.

Roanok says: Is he injured? Where did he come from?

Syrenna growls.

[The shaman calls the spirits, a healing breath of wind and water winding around the wounded death knight.]

Meton 's wounds do not heal.

Roanok 's his eyes grow wide at his magic's failure.

Deselynia says: Who is there?

Roanok bows before Ayerian.

Meton begins to try and stand.

Ayerian eyes Roanok up and down.

Roanok says: Hail, Ayerian

Ayerian glares angrily at Roanok.

Meton leans back against the wall with a heavy thud.

Roanok backs away from the hunter.

Deselynia says: What is your buisness here?

Dayari looks over the newly arrived death knight.

Ayerian says: Nothing that concerns you.
Ayerian eyes the two death knights.

Solivar rests his hands on Meton's shoulders and helps prop him up.
Solivar says: [Thalassian] Dath il'amare

Meton still barely makes it up.

Deselynia says: Alright then.

Roanok says: Is there anything I can do for him, Solivar?

Meton says: [Thalassian] O dor dal'dieb da al'shar no terro

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Nei mush Ri anu fulo fal do eburi

Meton says: [Thalassian] O nor anar osa shan're tal fallah bandu

Roanok says: I....I cannot understand the language.

Meton says: [Thalassian] Do dor rini aman O nei mush fal su su thus mush'al ri dor thus terro O fallah ri man'ar dath'anar

Roanok eyes Ayerian warily.

Solivar nods tightly and reaches for the straps of Meton's armor.

Dayari says: It's how elves talk sometimes.

Deselynia says: greeting Meton.

Meton says: H-hello...
Meton winces in pain.

Roanok prepares his healing magics.

Solivar says: He was attacked -- several days ago. His wounds are not healing. Have not healed since.

Meton says: Don't waste your time shaman...
Meton says: I think this has something to do with it...

Roanok inspects the wounds on Meton.

Deselynia says: May I inspect the wounds?

Meton opens up his chest armor to reveal a strange wound.

Solivar says: Yes.

Meton says: Sure.
Meton says: I think that is to blame..

Deselynia Inspects the wounds carefully.

Meton says: I have already visited multiple sources of healing...nothing works.

Solivar says: ...What...

Roanok says: *whispered harshly* I do not like the way the hunter stares at us...

Solivar rests his hand over the wound in Meton's chest, eyes dimming slightly as he concentrates.

Meton says: Light's Hope...I even went to an old friend of yours in Light's Promise, Solivar...
Meton says: Keldris says hello...

Dayari says: Still the wrong one.

Solivar 's face goes utterly still.

Meton says: Listen..

Solivar swallows with difficulty and shakes his head.

Deselynia says: I dont recognize the magics at work here.

Solivar says: Be quiet, you idiot. Save your strength.

Meton says: My time isn't really long now...

Solivar glances over his shoulder Ayerian.

Deselynia says: Solivar i still have some of that blue stuff you gave me would it help?

Meton says: When I saw how I died, I laid on the floor....in that exact pose once the battle finished.

Roanok kneels in prayer with his hand outstretched towards Meton.
Roanok says a prayer for Meton.

Solivar says: *Stop.*
Solivar 's tone is low and fierce.

Dayari says: Aren't you dead now?

Meton says: It was the best battle though...no matter what I threw at the guy, he just kept coming...

Deselynia pulls out a small vial of liquid she was given the other day.
Deselynia says: i dont know if it will work but this should help

Meton says: Give it a shot...

Roanok cranes his neck towards the vial.

Deselynia says: at least to get your strength back

Meton says: Need me to drink it?

Deselynia opens the vial and pours a tiny bit into a small cup
Deselynia says: Yes

Roanok is curious what Syrenna is up to.

Deselynia holds the cup to Metons lips.

Meton slowly takes the cup, his hands visibly shake as he drinks down the content.

Solivar says: Brother shaman...that hunter is not our enemy. He has been helping us in one of our endeavors...

Roanok glances at the hunter quickly.
Roanok says: *whispered* He is quite...rude.

Meton says: I feel a fraction better...like how I did before I made friends with that bit of grass.

Deselynia says: then that worked for now at least.

Solivar glances over his shoulder.

Meton stands on his own away from the wall.
Meton puts his armor piece back on.

Solivar says: He is at that. Meton...

Meton says: Yeah?

Ayerian eyes the crowd, narrowing in on the injured death knight.

Solivar says: For the love of the Light, stop. You can barely walk.

Deselynia hands the rest of the vial to Meton

Meton says: There is one more place I need to go before I shed this coil of flesh.

Deselynia says: take it in small odses.

Dayari says: What do you have after you lose your skin?

Meton says: Presumably, something akin to a soul. If not...then nothing.

Roanok eyes Dayari curiously.
Roanok says: We are all one with the Earth Mother.
Roanok says: Take solace in that, brother.

Meton says: Thank you Deselynia.
Meton drinks down another small bit of the vial.

Solivar says: You labor under the delusion that I am going to *let* you die, you fool.

Meton puts the rest away.
Meton says: You can't stop this brother...
Meton says: I'm alright with this...I'm ready.

Deselynia says: i might know someone who can but its risky.

Roanok glances again at the hunter.

Solivar says: ...What do you wish?

Meton says: I wish to go the Eversong Woods, I have something there I need to see one last time.

Roanok says: Eversong? Where is that?

Meton says: I just need to not collapse on the way...

Solivar says: Eversong is in Quel'Thalas...I can take Meton through a gate...

Deselynia says: the gate might rip him apart we must walk it

Roanok says: Would that be the Death's Gate that I have heard about?

Deselynia says: take the zepplain to tiristfall and hoof it from there

Solivar regards Deselynia with narrowed eyes.

Meton says: Either way is fine...
Meton looks among the group.
Meton says: Solivar, I think you know what to do with this.

Deselynia says: In his state dont risk the exposure to magics Solivar

Meton pulls out the Scourgestone.

Dayari says: Sounds complicated.

Roanok says: Again, I could summon a spirit...

Meton says: Find someone else to use it in case of emergency, I'm afraid my corpse won't do much.

Solivar accepts the stone and stashes it away.

Roanok almost stumbles trying to get a peek at the stone.

Deselynia says: Let us start now before we lose track of time.

Solivar says: The towers. Hurry.

Meton says: Ok..

Deselynia holds out her arm to Meton.
Deselynia says: hold on

Meton whistles for his bone gryphon.
Meton says: I can do this.

Deselynia says: Meton ill carry you its fine.

Meton 's bone gryphon almost reluctantly comes back to him. He's had a few rough landings.
Meton says: No..

Deselynia says: embarrased to have a living woman carry you?
Deselynia chuckles

Meton says: Nope...just too stubborn.
Meton manages to smile.
Meton says: Don't think we've met yet Shaman.

Roanok says: Ah yes. How rude of me.

Meton takes another sip of the vial.

Roanok says: I am Roanok Spiritstrider. Shaman and servant of the Earthmother.
Roanok bows before Meton.

Meton says: I am Meton...just about former Death Knight.

Roanok chuckles uneasily.

Deselynia says: I have a request once we get to Tirestfall/

Roanok says: I find it distressing that my magics have no effect upon your wounds. But it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Meton says: Back at ya Roanok.
Meton says: If I can manage, sure.

Deselynia says: I want one of you to knock me out.

Roanok says: erm...Where is the Hunter?

Dayari says: What hunter?

Meton says: Whatever for?

Deselynia says: Solivar is afraid to test my theory about me being a death knight once i sleep and while he is away i want to test it.

Roanok says: *to himself* I do love a good Zeppelin ride...

Dayari says: But you're alive. You can't be dead too.

Deselynia says: also if its true I will be more of a help then also i dont think its truly me

Meton says: Dayari, you go on ahead and do it. I'm afraid the fight has left me.

Dayari says: Do what?

Roanok says: Forgive me...

Deselynia says: IF it works my body should disapear and i should be at ebon hold.

Roanok slaps Deselynia across the face. Ouch!

Deselynia says: gotta do better then that Shaman im alot tougher then you think

Roanok winds up and lets fly a solid left cross.

Deselynia falls limp to the floor and does get launched through a deathgate that appeared below her.

Meton says: Huh...neat.

Roanok says: I do so detest striking people.

Meton says: Let's get moving, I have a time limit and all.

Dayari says: Meton.

Roanok looks around at the dead and plagued landscape.

Meton stops for a moment to whistle for his wolf companion before he notices him running up in the distance.
Meton says: Just couldn't wait for me...could ya boy?

Roanok pulls out a small whistle and blows. No sound is emitted.

Meton says: Solivar is waiting...let's ride.

[The group travels through the ruins of the Capital to the gateway court...]

Meton nods at Solivar.
Meton says: You rushed ahead I see.

Roanok peers curiously at the orb.
Roanok says: What is that thing?

Meton dismounts.

Dayari says: It goes to the Blood Elves' city.

Roanok backs away.

Solivar says: Brother shaman...it is merely a transportation device.

Meton says: So Deselynian does become a death knight upon sleeping.

Roanok says: Hmph...

Dayari says: She does?

Roanok says: How does it work?

Meton says: You'll have to investigate that for me, Solivar.

Solivar says: Step into its effect.

Roanok falls flat on his face.
Roanok says: Egads!

Solivar says: ...Easy. It is a bit...unsettling on first try.

Meton laughs a bit before groaning in pain.
Meton says: Hurts to laugh..

Roanok holds back a retch.

Meton takes another drink.

Solivar slings Meton's arm over his shoulders.
Solivar says: ...You are not going to die.

Meton says: Hehe...a bit too late for that brother.
Meton says: Come.

Solivar says: Moreso than you are already. You *do not* have my leave to die, you bastard.

Meton says: We have a pit stop to make on the way out.

Dayari says: Dead, not dead, dead. I didn't think things changed so much.

Andinthe says: If he dies Solivar, so to does a good chance at finding your friend.

Roanok says: Where in the blazes did SHE come from?

Solivar glares ice-cold death over his shoulder at Andinthe.

Meton looks over.

Roanok says: oh...Right. The device.

Dayari says: Neck.

Andinthe says: Brother.... How bad is it?

Meton says: Glad to see you faring so well since the whole King's Fist incident.

Andinthe laughs.

Deselynian says: Hello Gentlemen

Andinthe says: Only thanks to you I suppose.

Deselynian laughs

Roanok waves at Deselynian.

Meton gives a slight bow from the neck.
Meton says: Oh, hello Des.

Deselynian says: Hello Meton Whats going on with you

Dayari says: Not Scourge now...

Meton says: Dying...again.

Andinthe laughs at Meton.

Deselynian says: everyday thing with you isnt it

Andinthe drops her helm to the floor.

Meton says: I would say yes but this time...I'm done.

Andinthe holds out her hand, a silver chained necklace within her palm.

Deselynian says: yea funny im not letting that happen then i cant use you as a punching bag

Andinthe says: I will let you guess what it signifies...
Andinthe winks slyly at Meton.

Meton says: I was never good at twenty questions...

Solivar says: ...Andinthe...I am not of a mind to tolerate your games tonight.

Andinthe glares angrily at Solivar.

Meton takes the necklace and puts it around his neck.

Andinthe says: I thought you to have warmer blood than that Solivar.

Deselynian says: Let her play her games its the only way she gets anything useful done

Andinthe retracts her hand, a cold glaze returning to her face.
Andinthe bows before Meton.
Andinthe says: Die well, brother.

Roanok becomes visibly upset at the mounting tension in the room.

Meton says: I wish you the same one day.

Andinthe says: One can only wish.
Andinthe motions to the door.

Meton bows from the neck once more.
Meton says: It's best we move along.

Solivar nods tightly, glare never leaving Andinthe.

Deselynian says: then lets Go also can i get your mace?

Andinthe glances up to the ceiling, and what appears to be a frown sneaks upon her.
Andinthe says: You're in for hell, Tauren.

Deselynian laughs at Meton.

Meton says: You wouldn't know what to do with it....
Meton laughs slightly.

Deselynian says: oh i could think of a few things
Deselynian says: giant fly swatter for one

[The group exits Sunfury Tower into the Court of the Sun and the beauty of Silvermoon by night.]

Meton stops and looks around.
Meton says: There he is.

Dayari says: He...?

Roanok says: Wow...Its...beautiful.

Meton looks down at his wolf.
Meton says: Can't believe I have yet to name you after all of these years.
Meton says: But you stuck by me, forever loyal.
Meton says: Like a brother...
Meton says: I know what to call you now.
Meton says: Malethom.
Meton finishes off the vial.
Meton says: Sorry...it's done for

Roanok gazes around at the city sights.

Deselynian says: Heh the paladin gave that to you didnt she

Meton says: Indeed she did.

Deselynian says: foolish little child she is. no offence to you Meton

Meton says: Heh...thought that counts.
Meton says: Aaand it's keeping me from collapsing.
Meton says: So bonus points there.

Roanok glances around

Dayari says: Should I write that down?

Meton says: If you wish my brother.

Roanok stares Arcane Guardian down.

Deselynian says: true but it was her only chance to keep herself in control for longer periods of time

Meton says: Here we are.

Dayari says: Where's here?

[The group pauses in front of a stately house in the city.]

Meton says: Solivar, Steadfast. Consider this your home away from home now.

Roanok says: erm...Sorry. I thought i saw an earth spirit.

Meton says: They won't ask questions.

Dayari says: Home away from home...

Deselynian says: We are being followed i can smell her from here.

Meton says: It has equipment, food, obviously shelter.
Meton says: Indeed...I feel her presence.
Meton pulls out a key and hands it to Solivar.

Roanok says: Who?
Roanok says: I see no one.

Solivar says: Meton -- you do not have to do this.

Meton says: There are a few spares inside.

Dayari says: Don't always see things that are here.

Roanok shrugs. Who knows?

Meton says: I know but..think of it as my last gift.

Deselynian says: your sences are not as keen as ours are Shaman dont stress yourself about it

Meton says: Now we continue onto the woods.

[They proceed through Silvermoon’s quiet streets and through the Pilgrim’s Gate, into the forested hills of Eversong beyond.]

Deselynian whispers to Solivar "i might have a way to save him but its very risky"

Solivar says: We can go to the Ebon Hold. Alistra can work...not miracles...but her skills are greater than mine.

Meton says: I'm not deaf you know.
Meton says: If anything my sight is leaving me a bit though...

Deselynian says: no but you can ignore things not meant for you
Deselynian says: and i have a way to hold the soul if my research is correct

Roanok says: *to himself idly* This land is not at all cursed as the Ring says.

[A young mountain cat makes the mistake of gnawing on Deselynian’s boot.]

Roanok kneels before Springpaw Stalker.
Roanok says: Why?

Meton says: It attacked?

Deselynian says: it attacked so i attacked back

Dayari says: Good reason

Roanok sighs at Deselynian.

Deselynian says: if it makes you feel better i dont let them suffer its a swift kill

Roanok says: I suppose that is something.
Roanok shivers in his boots. Chilling!

Dayari says: Why would that feel better?

Meton says: We are close...

Deselynian says: living morals i guess

Dayari says: Oh.

Roanok looks at Crazed Dragonhawk.
Roanok shoos Springpaw Stalker away. Be gone pest!

[They cross the river below the Farstrider refuge and round a hill to find a great, white-barked grandfather tree overlooking a broad swath of the greensward and a sliver of the Scar beyond it.]

Meton dismounts.
Meton says: Here we are.
Meton says: This tree...right here.

Dayari says: It's a tree.

Roanok says: A tree?

Meton says: Where I buried Amonwen...

Deselynian says: Treerific?

Dayari says: Who?

Meton leans against the tree.
Meton says: This is where I wish to die.

Solivar shakes his head.

Dayari says: Why?

Deselynian says: Ok Meton you think we are just going to let you die on us

Meton says: My time is just about up here...

Deselynian says: Unless we remove you from here

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Bandu ishura Ishura Al dieb anu diel do su diel dor

Deselynian says: and bring you back later

Dayari says: You want to die because you're out of time?

Meton says: [Thalassian] O aman al doriNi mush'al

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Al ri anu alah'ni

Meton says: [Thalassian] O ri rini do mush osa no diel d'ana'no ash al ri da dor shando d'ana'no

Roanok says: I dont think he would have done much damage...

Dayari listens intently, with no comprehension regarding the conversation.

Roanok says: But, thank you none the less.

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] Diel lo osa aman mush'al nor shari fulo isera'duna tal rini talah nor ni dor'ana'badu talah ri mush'al Bandu diel dath nei d'ana'no talah do alah ash terro andu da tal

Meton says: [Thalassian] Dath dor thus nor anar O rini shar nor shar mush'al isera'duna no diel mandalas alah ri thoribas mush

Dayari says: I had an axe to chop it down.

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Dor shando shano diel aman ishnu osa mush do balah osa do diel Do anar osa ethala al

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] shar anu ri shari diel bandu lo thus dor o turus o diel dor fallah diel

Meton says: [Thalassian] Al osa aman do fal da shari talah

Roanok shrugs at you. Who knows?

Meton says: Sorry Dayari, Roanok.
Meton says: Been speaking a lot of vowels haven't I?
Meton cringes as he laughs.

Roanok says: Your language is pleasant to hear.
Roanok says: But. I do not understand the words.

Solivar gazes narrowly at Deselynian...then hands over the pouch containing the shards, one hand still firmly on Meton's shoulder.

Dayari says: Don't know what it means.

Solivar says: Stop laughing.

Meton says: Why should I?
Meton says: I look at my life and unlife...I beat Arthas, Solivar...I avenged my family...then I saved them.
Meton says: Even after all the evil I committed...I did my best to do well and I think I succeeded in that right.
Meton says: At least a fraction...more than most ever get.

Deselynian sits down and rummages through her bags pulling out a almost completed Highborne Soul Mirror
Deselynian starts fitting the last few peices in pace as fast as she can.
Deselynian says: ALmost There
Deselynian gets the last peice in and a green beem shoots up from the mirror

Roanok says: Wha-!!!

Deselynian says: There it is done.

Roanok peers at Deselynian searchingly.

Deselynian says: Now Meton will you at least look at the full story the mirror was telling you

Dayari says: But, there's always more.

Meton says: Of course.

Deselynian hands Meton the completed Highborne Soul Mirror

Meton holds it for a moment then looks deeply into the Highborne Soul Mirror

Solivar steadies Meton's hands.

Deselynian says: No one else is to look in the mirrors face while Meton does or else we mess up everyones world

Roanok turns his back.

Meton says: I see...the same thing I did before. My body beaten in that position...wait.

Dayari says: Don't look at the mirror.

Meton says: I see a bit more.
Meton says: My attacker.
Meton says: Those bright white eyes...

Deselynian says: who?

Meton says: I don't know, he had some sort of vengeance to reap against me.
Meton says: He said I killed his family back in the day.

Deselynian says: Who do we know with white eyes?

Meton says: I got my vengeance...he got his. Fair trade I suppose.

Deselynian says: keep looking meton get the rest of it

Meton says: He won't be coming for anyone else here...at least I highly doubt it.

Roanok says: I have my father's eyes. Brown as the mountains of the Barrens.

Dayari says: I don't think it has to be fair.

Meton keeps looking into the mirror.
Meton says: Nothing.
Meton says: Just my reflection.

Deselynian says: and you living
Deselynian says: your alive now and the mirror doesnt lie

Meton says: I haven't been alive for a long time Des...*coughs up blood as he slowly slides down the tree*

Deselynian says: we can fight this magic in time Let us put you in stasis

Solivar kneels before Meton.

Deselynian says: We technically live again Meton

Roanok sighs at Meton.

Deselynian says: let us try and save you
Deselynian says: like you would for us

Dayari says: Not air-gulpers though.

Meton says: I didn't want to kill your spirits...but I tried that already.

Roanok seems disgusted that his magic has failed him yet again.

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Mush'al ishura

Meton says: Something about my condition made it impossible to put me in stasis...whatever this is...is incredible.

Deselynian says: Then i we do it the old fashioned way anyone know a warlock?

Dayari says: I know one.

Meton says: [Thalassian] Dor'ano Osa diel aman o terro u'phol do ni thori'dal O doriNi shari eraburis fandu O neph'o o Terro Ishura
Meton says: [Thalassian] Ash osa aman do anu da

Roanok at the mention of Warlock, makes a ritual gesture and spits into the ground.

You ponder Roanok's actions.

Roanok shudders.

Meton says: [Thalassian] Shano dath osa diel dor terro dath ano anoduNa aman su osa

Deselynian says: once you die do you think this magic will fade?

Solivar lets his hands fall to his sides, face utterly empty of emotion.

Meton says: I don't know.

Deselynian says: cause we could always reinstitute you into ebon hold once you die

Meton says: You could try...but I ask you not to.
Meton says: I know it's selfish...

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Nor thus shan're do dor Terro ash Ash'therod Lo tal ethala nor andu

Dayari says: Just a body when it's not moving anymore.

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] Diel tur anu diel da nor ash ash shan're ni o shar shari lo o dor do dur osa bandu nor diel osa diel al dor aman aman Bandu diel o dor'ano osa

Meton laughs slightly.

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] fulo al o diel do fala'andu shar dor mandalas nor dorini

Meton says: [Thalassian] Al osa anar

Solivar pushes slowly to his feet, expression still utterly blank.

Meton says: Maybe it's because I feel myself slipping but I feel her here with me now...

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] shar tur anu osa nor ash al adore anu al su thoribas Bandu

Meton says: Leaning on my shoulder like she used to long ago...

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] Dor aman'ni ishura rini osa do do'rah ri anu alah ni balah thus D'ana'no shar ni

Solivar says: [Thalassian] Al osa aman al mush'al O fal anar al shano

Dayari takes out a book, pages largely blank, a quill, and a pot of ink. He then starts to write.

Meton says: It's okay Solivar...I don't feel pain anymore.

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] anar diel osa dath aman su shari
Deselynian drinks one of her Moonglow

Roanok cranes his neck over Dayari's shoulder.

Meton laughs loudly at that.
Meton says: Oh hey...I can laugh again with no problem...still bleeding though.

Deselynian says: [Thalassian] ri al ishnu diel thus mush nor dal'dieb

Meton says: I've always wondered why we needed blood...
Meton says: Maybe I'll find out after this..
Meton says: Solivar.

Solivar says: ...Meton?

Meton says: [Thalassian] TalAh mush dath Osa rini al do ni diel osa ri il'amare dath osa ishura al'shar

Solivar says: [Thalassian] O diel rini do mush Mush'al O ishura shano diel O ishura Mush'al ni

[Solivar turns and walks away before his self-control can crack completely.]

Roanok kneels down and begins praying again.

Deselynian says: I must be off for tonight I do wish you the best rest you can get Meton

Meton says: Thank you Des. Fight and die well.

Deselynian says: fight yes die not Hardly

Meton says: It's okay..

Deselynian laughs.

Meton nods at Des.
Meton says: Everytime I close my eyes...I see her..think I'll stick to that.
Meton says: I'm coming home darlin...

Dayari pauses his writing to watch the Death Knight.

Meton finally closes his tired eyes as the bright blue fades away from them. He smiles at what he sees, leans his head back and passes on.

Dayari returns to his writing, finishing with a few brief strokes of the pen.

Ghostly Whisper softly says: Welcome Champion...

Dayari says: Body's just a body.

re: [RP] Meton

[Steadfast lingers in Eversong to complete a sorrowful duty...]

Jarrand greets you with a hearty hello!

Solivar looks up from his contemplation of the view, nodding wordlessly in greeting.
Next to him a low cairn of stones sits piled on the bald of the hill, too small to contain an actual body.

Jarrand says: Something is the matter, isn't it? The spirits of the dead are unsettled.
Jarrand says: Hmph. Memorializing something or someone?

Solivar says: ....Yes.
Solivar says: Meton. He is...

Jarrand says: The other Death Knight. His ghosts I felt free themselves.
Jarrand says: Was it in battle?

Solivar struggles for a moment to hold his expression still.
Solivar says: ...It was. In battle with one avenging his own ghosts.

Jarrand nods, satisfied.

Solivar fishes a bottle from a nearby sack and passes it to Jarrand.

Jarrand says: It's best he died in battle. Honor, blood: it sometimes ends that way and there will be songs sung about him.
Jarrand says: Thanks.
Jarrand accepts the bottle and gulps heartily from the bottle.

Deselynian says: sorry i am late had some loose ends to tie up.

Jarrand says: Knots never untie like they should.

Solivar inclines his head in greeting to Deselynian and hands her a bottle.

Deselynian says: Thank you friend
Deselynian takes the bottle and nurses it

Solivar settles down next to the cairn.

[Jarrand gathers wood from nearby and lights a fire atop the bald of the hill.]

Jarrand says: So, we gather here tonight, brought together to remember one of the fallen. I gather his passing was not expected, but in battle.
Jarrand says: It's fitting we honor him as a warrior.

Deselynian says: Warrior he was but a foolhardy one.

Jarrand says: The time for his faults was while he was living. It'll help him little to remember them now.
Jarrand says: It's better his spirit be bolstered, buoyed up on the winds by our words and song.

Deselynian says: you remember someone for thier strengths and weaknesses its what makes the character of someone

Jarrand says: You are of a different people, perhaps with different views on the dead.

Deselynian says: if you forget weakness you forget half the person

Jarrand says: There's no need to forget, but the best Lok'tra sing their praises first.

Solivar says: He was at peace in the end, and for that I am...grateful.

Deselynian says: very true

Jarrand says: So I gathered, from the whispers of his ghosts. They too have passed beyond their place here.

Solivar 's eyes flick closed for a moment.

Deselynian says: I would also like to point out he was courageous but with courage came some other things

Solivar says: When we first met, he was...angry. Bitter and angry and wild with it. His heart burned and it was with hatred.

Deselynian says: I only met him recently and he had come far from when you met him.

Solivar says: Not just for the Lich King -- for everything, and himself not least.

Deselynian flinches at the meantion of The lich king

Jarrand says: I think when I first saw him was when he had moved further down his river.

Solivar says: He pulled himself away from what he could have become, had he allowed that hatred to consume him.
Solivar says: You did. He...changed very greatly. He proved that it was possible for our kind to change -- to grow beyond what *He* had made us, no matter how cruelly damaged we were by it.

Jarrand says: The Lich King's corruption has a long history. For him to come through it is a mighty feat.

Deselynian says: Yes it is.

Solivar says: Even though he denied it...literally until the day he died...in his heart he was not a destroyer, but a protector. A paladin in fact if not in form.
Solivar says: And a friend and brother to me when I had few of either. I...
Solivar stops, starts, stops again, and finally shakes his head wordlessly.

Jarrand says: The sword sometimes parries a blow as much as it strikes one.

Deselynian says: Depending on the person it parries more then strikes and he parried alot

Jarrand stands slowly.

Solivar works the cork loose on his own bottle and pours the entire thing out over the cairn, laying the empty bottle atop the stones.

Jarrand says: When I first met him, I saw his ghosts first and foremost.
Jarrand says: They swirled about him like typhoons in a tempest.
Jarrand says: But, beyond them was something more. Not just an eye of a storm, but a warrior born and bred who would fight for victory and honor. Not fearing death, it is a great tribute to his spirit that he laid down his life for what he believed in most.
Jarrand says: While it was too soon for his song to be sung, it is best that he lived brightly, even in undeath. I raise my drink to him and am honored to have him join the spirits of the bretheren.
Jarrand says: He may be gone in flesh, but he is still with us in spirit and, should we need him, I am sure he will be ever the protector he was while in the flesh.
Jarrand cheers!

Solivar says: Well said, Windspeaker.
Solivar smiles faintly, the expression not quite dislodging the grief in his eyes.

Deselynian says: I dont have much to say about him i barely knew the man. But from what i did see he was a good man with some inner demons but he did his best to ignore them and do what he did best and that was help

Solivar says: Yes. He would no doubt be...extremely unimpressed if we spent too much time euologizing him.

Deselynian says: so let us finish up here and figure out what to do now

Jarrand says: The finishing here is what to do.
Jarrand says: We speak here to aid our fallen brother.
Jarrand says: The living can wait for this solemn duty.

Solivar says: It was...so much simpler when Andinthe fell. We knew what to do then. We swore an oath of vengeance in her name and then fulfilled it. Her killers paid for their crimes.
Solivar says: Meton...did not desire vengeance.

Jarrand says: I think that would not best serve him anyway. His life had enough of it.

Solivar says: He had lived so much for it himself -- in the end, he understood the purpose of the hand that killed him, and wished that circle closed.
Solivar says: And yet...
Solivar 's tone is dangerously serene.
Solivar says: ...I find myself wanting to track down his murderer and make him scream my name before he dies.
Solivar says: At length. Repeatedly.

Deselynian says: I believe Meton would want us to if anything is help out the rest of our friends till the end just like he did even if he would not admit it.
Deselynian says: Solivar that would not solve anything it would start a new cycle and thats exactly what he would not want

Jarrand says: We could do that. Slaying the enemy that slew our friend is a noble enough cause.
Jarrand says: Leaving nothing but the barren earth ends a cycle fast enough.
Jarrand says: Bury the slayer and all those who might hear his name. That would be a battle.

Solivar 's hands curl into fists in his lap, though his expression and even, utterly calm tone do not change.
Solivar says: You have no idea how much I want that right now.

Deselynian says: if battle is your solution to this count me out enough blood has spilt already.

Solivar says: I know that, as well. But it does not make me want it any less.

Deselynian says: want is one thing reason is another.

Solivar takes a deep, shuddering breath and nods slightly.

Jarrand says: But, to see their blood, to know that his death is avenged, that carries with it some import.

Deselynian says: yes but vengeance should wait till tempers and emotions have died down and you can reasonably figure out why the man killed Meton was it a Just act?
Deselynian says: there are questions we need answered before we do anything.

Jarrand says: And who has the answers?

Solivar says: I could find who did this. I tasted the magic in the wound that killed him -- the blow that broke the necromantic pattern that sustained him. I could find its source...easily enough. I would...

Deselynian says: make a rash decision once you did find him?

Solivar says: But Meton...would not have wanted that...and that is what stays my hand now.

Jarrand says: Hmmm...no he would not, but are our hands bound by blood feud to avenge our dead?

Deselynian says: aand then we kill him and a friend of his kills us then what we got nowhere
Deselynian says: someone needs to break the never ending cycle of death

Jarrand says: Such it could be, but if it is war we will gird for it. We can rain fire down upon them until nothing but sand remains.

Solivar says: ...I....

Deselynian says: need to get your mind off of this Solivar

Jarrand disagrees.

Solivar says: My brother died before me and there was nothing I could do to save him, Deselynian.

Jarrand says: To hide the pain away under the earth is not to face it and bring it into your being.

Deselynian says: yes but to act now is not a reasonable idea

Jarrand says: True enough, the winds do not blow true tonight.

Deselynian says: what if we walk into a trap and all die because we are fueled by pain anguish and hate
Deselynian says: we need to plan and get information first.
Deselynian says: and that takes time

Jarrand says: Perhaps it was our fate to perish so then after all?

Solivar says: ...No.
Solivar says: .....No.

Jarrand says: No?

Solivar takes another deep, painful breath, and forces his hands to relax.

Deselynian says: Solivar dont make me get the fish cause i will

Solivar says: No. No blood feud. No raining fire until everything is dust.

Jarrand says: If that is the path you wish. He is of your people.

Solivar says: I will not bury another friend or brother -- not for vengeance.

Jarrand says: Then we must look elsewhere, it would seem.

Deselynian says: why dont we focus on saving our other friend before he buries himself?

Jarrand says: Who do you speak of?

Solivar says: ...Dharkoth?

Jarrand says: Ears has gotten himself into a mess, that's for certain.

Deselynian says: Baranthore.... everyone seems to forget him...

Jarrand says: He is poisoned in spirit; I'm not sure he can be cured.

Solivar says: No. I have not forgotten him.

Deselynian says: and if we dont try we can only blame ourselves

Jarrand says: How do we save him then.

Solivar says: I have spoken to Andinthe...she refuses to commit herself to any endeavor but her own whims, and her...feelings...for him are difficult to discern.

Jarrand says: She is best not to be trusted. Baranthore is poisoned, but she herself is rotten.

Solivar says: There was a time when I thought they would kill or die for one another....

Deselynian says: i was thinking on using the mirror again it helped meton finish his puzzle maybe if we help baran finish it he will snap out of it

Solivar looks away.
Solivar says: If Andinthe is rotten, the fault for it does not lie with her. She does...in her own, twisted way...care.

Jarrand says: Another corrupted soul. We find so many of those, do we not?

Solivar says: This one we did not so much find as help make.
Solivar runs the heel of his hand across his chest, a flicker of something like pain crossing his face.

Jarrand says: So we now find a way to pull the poison from? Best not to swallow too hard on that.

Solivar says: I am not certain the mirror would do Baranthore any good. My interest in it lies primarily in how it was constructed and why...learning this may give us insight into how it was used to assail Baranthore...

Deselynian says: I have not looked in it since i owned it so i dont know

Solivar says: My...instinct...in the matter suggests the key to purging the poison from his soul is to restore his bonds to this world. Neshala. His comrades in the Argent Crusade.

Deselynian says: then let us go talk to them

Jarrand says: Have we come any closer to finding the child?

Solivar says: If Andinthe is to be believed, Neshala is alive and was given to the care of the dragons -- she told me she left the girl at Wyrmrest temple to recover.

Jarrand says: So then it is a matter of bringing Baranthore face to face with her?

Deselynian says: old bait and lure tactics?

Solivar says: It might be enough to shock him back to sanity, if only for a moment -- an edge we can use to break him free from whatever force acts against him.

Jarrand says: Aye, a moment is an eternity if we work the right magics.

Solivar says: But before...we must find them both.

Deselynian says: any tips on where to find baranthore?

Jarrand says: We can ask for guidance. There are no doubt Spirits that can guide us to him.

Solivar says: Ayerian thought he found Baranthore's camp, close to the border of Zul'Drak. My own vision of him was in Zeramas....
Solivar says: *Could* we send a spirit to seek him? Or ask them to show us a glimpse of him?

Jarrand says: We could, though I think tonight is not the night to ask such things. Our thoughts should remain with our fallen.
Jarrand says: The Spirits we ask should be guided to help Meton in his journey beyond the flesh.
Jarrand says: Once that is done, then a humble request may be attempted.

Solivar says: I defer to your wisdom in this, brother.
Solivar says: What would you have us do?

Deselynian says: let us finish this then we must not waste time every second counts

Jarrand says: Could rush this, but would that do Meton the honor he deserves?

Solivar says: ...No.

Deselynian says: not rush it but not milk it

Jarrand says: Milk is for cows, honor is for warriors; I see no wallowing in remembering his valor.

[Deselynian goes to fetch a handful of ritual items required for the ceremony.]

Solivar says: ...Jarrand...

Jarrand says: Yes?

Solivar says: ...I have a...something to ask of you.

Jarrand says: What is it you ask?

Solivar says: At the vision-pool in the Barrens...you spoke of healing the injury I suffered.

Jarrand says: The blade's wound upon your soul?

Solivar says: Yes. Do you think it...possible?

Jarrand says: Perhaps it is. It can be attempted, at the very least.

Solivar nods slightly.
Solivar says: Later, then.

Jarrand says: If you wish, we can try to call upon the spirits' aid to cleanse the wound so it might heal again.

Solivar says: ...I would, if we can. And I thank you...for thinking that it is possible to heal a soul such as mine, Windspeaker.
