re: Response: Confirmed/Prospective 4/14 Tavern Night Attendees

The green thing burbled and oozed about the floor at Dayari's feet. The Forsaken sat cross-legged in front of his strange new acquisition, a slime that had followed him home after dispatching yet another group of rogue apothecaries from the Crown Chemical Company. It didn't seem to do anything but follow him, like some sort of strangely dissolved puppy. So, sitting in a quiet corner of the Undercity, bathed in the fluorescent green glow of the strange blob, Dayari sat with a satchel of items and a scrap of parchment.

Green thing doesn't respond much. Poked it with a finger, finger went in, thing didn't move.

Dayari stared at the ooze in front of him, looking at it though entirely unsure if it was looking at him. There were no eyes, ears, mouth, or any other sign of some area on which to orient his gaze. In fact, the thing was translucent and Dayari could see clear through to the wall in front of him. Dayari continued to stare at the thing. Opening his mouth, he then let out a bellow. The ooze shuddered slightly, but the only real response was from a passing Forsaken, who glared at Dayari, raising a skeletal finger to her lips and hissing a sharp urging for silence as she passed.

Creature doesn't have ears or is very good at ignoring.

Dayari pulled a handful of coins, some shining, others grime-encrusted. Jingling them in his hands, first to the left of the ooze, then to the right. The green bubble neither moved toward nor away from the sound. Holding the coins above the globule, Dayari dropped them, one by one, watching the coins gently tumble through the slime, eventually falling through and resting on the solid ground underneath the ooze.

Creature doesn't like money or has nothing to spend it on.

At that moment, a brave rat, few and far between in the Undercity, ventured forward from underneath a barrel. The rat paused momentarily to eye both the Forsaken and the green ooze, before it attempted to return to the preferred darkness underneath its barrel. However, with the rodent having only enough time to give a distressed squeak, the ooze lurched forward and landed squarely atop it. There was sign of a brief struggle within, quickly obscured by a bubbling within. The ooze quivered and was still, moving back toward its place at Dayari's feet. Left behind was perfectly clean rat skeleton. Dayari smiled at his pet and wrote one last line before picking up his belongings and continuing about his way.

It can learn a trick.
