Agreed Zen, agreed, but still all i can recall of the pandaland pre-release was a bunch of bitching, and moaning about how it was just gonna be a joke expansion, how wow was dead... We needed something going into mists and something like that would have been better then doing nothing imo.

As for the videos themselves; two conflicting positions: On the one hand I concur they would have been a great pre/early expansion release to invigorate the player base.

On the other hand, from a player knowledge perspective, this information does not become known to us until we have adventured through the land and learned the lore, so would a pre-release been slightly spoiler-ish?

But, regardless of content, I love the concept and the implementation and think additional videos pre/during/post expansion would increase player engagement.

I've really enjoyed the Burdens of Shaohao. Although, after watching them, I have the feeling that these would have made a really great introduction to the expansion rather than a mid-expansion media experiment. I think it was in the comments of the last video that it was suggested that, due to the Mists existing to give time for the Pandaren people to prepare to face the Burning Legion, that the Mists parting now meant the Burning Legion were ready to be faced by Pandarens and therefore the next expansion was likely to have a Burning Legion focus.

Have people been watching them? How do you feel about them? I really really liked them a lot. The whole lorewalkers stuff in pandaland i think was some of the best story in the game of wow in a long time, and i feel like that if they had released the burden before pandaland came out it would have been looked upon more favorably.
