re: [Interlude] Twinyarrow: Places unknown.

Pale light slowly broke before Twinyarrow's eyes. At first, a faint nigh grayness growing slowly brighter. It's level becoming painful all to quickly, causing the warlock to grunt, squeezing his eyes shut. He mind rose from the abyss of dream to which it had sank as he took a mental stock of himself. He concentration making his head prostest against the effort. He braced himself, knowing his mind would soon be fully within his body once more... AND all the information his nerves were sending would pierce the veil of numbness that had thankfully decended upon him.

Tenatively, the walock allowed his consciousness to clear, to feel his body even as he tried to steel himself for what might be coming. He felt his heart beating slow and steady. That fact for some unspoken reason gave him pause and unrepentent mirth. He listened.... there was no sound... just some dull roar like the wind unpon the shoreline. He was not ready to open his eyes. The first traces of light still left purplish flashed shadowed marked upon his eyelides. His mind brought a face into his minds eye. Folami, her face uncowled and lovely, how he longed to look into her eyes just now. Keldris looking concerned and motherly while the sage Old god looked out from within him. The stoic, yet friendly eyes of Jarrand. He stopped himself before considering further. His minds sanctity could not be certain.

Swallowing hard he removed the blocks his mind had set against anything he may be feeling and hoped for the best. Sharp pain raced up his arms. His hands. His fingers were broken, he was certain. Whereever he was or whomever had brought him here, they obviously knew how to incapacitate any using the mystic arts. Without his hands he was completely helpless. His ribs, eager to get noticed throbbed, aching as if they had been pummeled. His demon's eye exploded into stark relief againt the backdrop of all. The pain that pulsed from his eye made his stomach lurch and his mind long for the sweetness of dreams. He had not yet attempted opening his eyes... but something, he realized with growing terror was teriblly wrong.

He took in slow, soft breaths, feeling more and more nerves wracking him. His arms were in some fashion, restrained, though by what he could not say. Something hard as stone seemed to have serpented up his arms and sank into the flesh his forearms keeping his arms splayed upwards and away from his body. His broken hands lay ensconced within these. He was too low to be able to stand yet too high to take a seat. Instead, he hung limply, his feet and shins pressed against whatever base he was suspended above. His head hung downward before him. The paion in his neck telling him quite some time had pasts since he last moved.

He pondered reaching out with his mind but held back. His firends, his minions. Dwell on either to much and he might inadvertently give their locations away. The warlock drew a ragged breath. Any contact would have to wait until all else was exhausted. He would not... COULD NOT call comrades into what was most likely a trap.
